They make great fertilizer for Roses also.
I am curious to see how well they pack into your flash holes and primer pockets.

My guess would be it wouldn't do much, but you'd have to try it. If you do, use a coarse grind. Espresso would probably do nothing. If nothing else, it would make your brass smell nice.

I have no idea how well they would work for cleaning cases, but I would like to know the definition of 'slightly used'...

What about as a flux or seal layer (instead of kitty litter) for the top of the lead pot? Since its roasted, its already partially burned.

Dump them where you dig for worms. Coffee grounds make worms healthy, happy and fiesty.

I've tried grounds for flux, but not tumbling media. I agree with RugerFan in that you'd want a coarse grind.
I thought it was worthless for flux, for what it's worth.

I've used ground coffee(new, unused) for fillers, but not tumbling. I'm thinking it might not be hard enough to actually clean the cases.

slightly used = drip grind, once thru...
Been dumping in the compost pile, and occasionally around roses..
OOHHH...flux or filler... otta smell good either way...
I fear you fellas are right... probably wont do much, but... WTH ??
I can always compost'em later...
Thanks

I'm with NVcurmudgeon, dig a shawllow pit and fill the pit with 50% loose soil/25% well rotted cow manure/25% coffee grounds. You will have a lifetime supply of fishing worms, just keep dumping your coffee grounds on top.

I'm kind of interested in hearing about how it comes out. The acid might help with tarnish.

As far as the worms go drop a piece of plywood over the top. Sometimes you won't have to dig, just pick them up!:drinks:

RugerFan,
It is quite obvious you did not grow up on a dairy farm. Rotted or composted (to you city folks) manure has gone through it's heating cycle. As manure decomposes it gives off heat. The heat will kill your fishing worms/night crawlers.
