Hi,
Nice! Thanks for the write up! I just got a Tactical model in 45 ACP that came with the rubber grips. I wrote up my observations in a thread, as I stripped the pistol to debur and dehorn it before shooting. I found a lot of sharp edges that needed attention but all of this is up to the individual.

I found the parts to be well made, although MIM, and the pistol fairly tight all around. Mine had a plastic MSH that was replaced and like you do not care for the FLGR and that will be changed ASAP!

I believe these are probably the best bang for the buck and hope they will help more people be able to get to know the great 1911!

I have one and it runs and shoots just fine using the RCBS 9mm-124-CN, COWW alloy and sized to .358". It has never skipped a beat so far!

Hi,
A lot of people are happy with those pistols. Keep in mind that a lot of these pistols (RIA) are sold to first time buyers(which is a good thing) that need to learn about this platform (student drivers) and some have teething problems, but even with that, most feedback is positive!

Thank you all very much for the feedback.
Since the pistol was not mine I did not get to shoot any of my cast boolits or reloads though it. I expect as was said it would do just fine.
The plastic MSH is one of those things like the FLGR that I would have to change if it were my pistol.
I do hope these quality and affordable Government Models can get more into that line of handguns.
