Hi guys, have you had any luck shooting 44 or 55 grain bullets in the 218Bee, if so what loads do you use.
Again only Hodgdon powders are available to me.
I do believe the original factory load's were all cast boolit's with the "new" smokeless powder.

zuke,
Actually, the 218 Bee has always been factory loaded with jacketed bullets.

I have shot a ton of 218 Bee, as I have 2 model 43's, and most is jacketed 46 grain. Most of the time, I can only find the 22 Hornet 45 gr., but the 40 shoots ok too. I have not had good success shooting 55 gr. bullets, as it seems it likes a lighter bullet. I have shot some cast, but haven't been real happy with them.

the fasted i ever shot any cast bullet was in my Browning 65 .218 Bee. I was using the Ranch Dog 50gr. bullet with AA1680 @ 2600fps. Accuracy wasn't bad considering the issue sights
