I have a Marlin 375 Win. Since jacketed bullets aren't available I'm going to try cast bullets. Cast boolits are a new one for me. I have purchased some 264 gr SPFN GC hard cast from Northstar Bullets. I have plenty of brass and a lots of primers. From what I've read, Reloader 7 seems to be "THE" powder for the 375. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find this powder locally. I'm wanting a hunting load for whitetail deer, shots are under 100 yards, typically 50-75 yards. I haven't been able to find any load data for my particular bullet weight. I'd appreciate some help!

Here are the powders which I currently have:
H4198
H4895
IMR4198
IMR4831
IMR4350
IMR4227
IMR4064
Reloader 19

I'm thinking that H4198, H4895 and IMR4198 are probably the best bets out of the bunch. Anybody have any suggestions for the 264 gr boolits with the powders I have???

Thanks,
Steve.

try 20-23 grains of 4198 with your 264 grainer - lyman manual actually pushed it harder 23-25.5 for their 375449 264 GC boolit.

I used 4198 and Reloader7 in mine. I actually preferred 4198 for my cast bullet loads

The 375 Winchester is close enough to the 38-55 that you can also look at hunting loads for it to get ideas to use in your 375 Winchester.

IMR 3031 and 4759 work very well in my BB94 and 260 gr.gc Accurate bullet.I use the Lyman book and use 38-55 data interchangeably depending on what I want.

I've obtained good accuracy shooting the Lyman 375448 (255 gr plain-base) over 22.5 gr. IMR4198 in my .38-55 Highwall. From my 30" barrel, load clocks at around 1425 fps and, loaded in .375 Win cases, should be quite adequate for southern whitetail at under 100 yds.

If you feel the need more 'wallop', Ken Waters shows a max load of 36.0 gr. 4895 with the same boolit going over 1800 fps but that ain't exactly a 'fun load'...even from my 10 1/2 lb. Highwall.

H322 is a possibility but around here Rx7 is easier to find, hope some makes it to your neck of the woods soon. I like the 375449 GC Lyman but the 375448 makes good sense with most CB loads. Welcome to the forum!

For lighter loads I will stay with flake and extruded powders as ball powders are not so good with reduced loads.
