Lee auto charge rifle die

Has anyone tried 30.06 cases in the rifle die that is used with the auto disk powder measure? Lee states case length up to .308.

I use it and it works, but you can't crank the handle all the way down, just enough to activate the measure and charge the case.

My oldest son gave me my Loadmaster as a birthday present, it came setup to load 30-06 and had a rifle charge die and perfect powder measure setup but it works perfectly with the auto disk as well.

Be careful of short stroking the Lee.

You may think you are getting a full charge when only get nothing.

Good to know, can you suggest something that won't give trouble when short stroking it? :kidding:

Good point about short stroking the measure. It is a short stroke, but the die tops out so you do get positive feedback that the stroke is done as the handle comes to a stop. Just can't crank it down like the other stations in the press. I also watch the powder disk on my measure to see it has slid the full travel.
