Has anyone tried 4759 in a 45LC. Would be using the load in a Marlin cowboy rifle.

A welcome to the forum even though you've been here for a bit!!! 4759 will work except don't expect top end velocities. You will probably have enough barrel to get a complete burn or near to it but there is only so much you will be able to get into the case as this powder is very bulky. I remember it giving me pretty good accuracy however it wouldn't be my top choice for the 45 LC.

Yap it's a little slow, I would use something faster, 2400, 4227 for heavy fast loads.
For lighter easy shooting loads, bullseye, red dot, unique or about 15 others.

I'm looking for a light load for cowboy pistol cartridge. I've tried TrailBoss, Unique,4756,4227, and 2400. All poor accuracy. Accurate mold 260gr. sized to .455. Also using a heavy crimp.

All poor accuracy? Wow. I've shot cowboy loads with Red Dot and Green Dot in a Rossi and a Henry with great effect.

Use enough powder so it does not soot the case too badly, i.e., enough pressure to get a reasonable velocity for cowboy shooting - and certainly enough too not stick a boolit in the bore.

MY go to CAS load is 4.0 Red Dot and a 260gr 454rf

Used in both levergun and pistols.

4759 has been discontinued. So if you plan on using it a bunch, replacement won't be so easy.

polebilly what pistol are you using? I notice your sizing to .455, my stepson uses these in a Schofield copy. I've had good to great results from several of the powders you mentioned as well as a few you didn't but I'm shooting all mine through a Vacquero at .452.

If that list of powders hasn't given you good accuracy you may want to look elsewhere. What alloy are you using? What lube? Any leading?
Also your heavy crimp might be distorting the boolit. Pull a cartridge apart and check for damage and the boolit being sized down by the case.
Have you slugged the bore?

I have used 4227, 4198, and W231, all to good results, other than dirty.
