I always use an office machine repairman's tool - the spring hook - inserted inside the case from the rear until the hook is fwd of the case mouth, and use it to start the case back/out, which usually happens in a New York Minute.

if that does not work, I would think a 30-06 broken case extractor would work

I've had good luck removing broken cases by "slugging" the barrel from the muzzle. The lead slug will usually catch on the case mouth and break the case loose. Usually. It can take a few tries sometimes.

Plug the bore ahead of the chamber with a patch, and pour cerrosafe into the chamber. It will lock on the case mouth and make it easy to knock out. Then just melt it off the old cartridge case. No chance of scratching up your chamber.

They actually sell a special tool for Mosin's for removing cases where the head has ripped off. Push it in past the neck and turn the base expanding the bullet shaped head until it grabs the neck. Then pull it out.

But I suspect the hook would be fastest. Nobade's cerrosafe would be surest.

I brought the rifle to my friends shop this am . He was able to extract with a 50 cal brass brush and rod.
At this time I want to thank all the guys who responded and hopefully i will not have to use any of the methods in the future
Thanks again

What brand of brass? This is not something I want to experience so can you please expand on what may have gone wrong? I'm glad you got it resolved without too much trouble.

These were a generic brass cleaning brush that were purchased to clean 50 cal (50/70) that screw on the bottom of a rod. all he did was place the rod down the mussel . screw the brush in , pull the rod with the brush back to engage the case neck and hit the rod back toward the action . . The trick the wire on the brush is in the opposite direction
Quick easy and Fast
my brass for the 9.3 was reformed from 1945/ 06 just worn out from use
That's it

Thanks for the info. I have used quite a lot of privy 9.3 brass. The rim is slightly larger than most of my '06 brass (enough that you notice on tight shell holders). It might help prevent a recurrence.

Im going to scrap the 06 brass and start using new stuff. Not that the 06 was bad . Just seen better days
