OK. Here are some answers.

I like to visit members of Cast Boolits. I have been known to carry off
things they don't need anymore when I visit.

I always drop something off when I visit. Usually something I found at
another member's place.

I always follow these rules from Helping Hands:

1. I am giving it away to someone that needs or wants what I am giving away.

2. "I'll take it" doesn't necessarily rule. The giver can "pass" on
recipients calling "I'll take it!"

3. The person giving the item pays the shipping so the item is always worth
the shipping.

4. The person receiving the gift is not obligated to give anything.

Here are the rules for George:

1. George should not get posted where someone can call "I'll take it!"

2. If you receive a George package, you can just go get a cup of coffee and
call that good. You can also look at your pile of stuff that you have, see
something you don't need, and send it to someone on the site that is looking
for that item. Examples are an old set of dies you no longer use or a pile of
range pickup brass you don't need.

3. When you see someone posting a "Want to Buy" add or calling "I'll take
seconds on that!" you PM them and ask if they would like George to come by
for a visit. When you send George, you pay the postage so it is always
worthwhile to the recipient.

4. If you want to ignore George, that is OK. If you want to have some fun
with George, post your own thread about George stopping by your house in the
Helping Hands section.

Now for some notes about George.

George is really over worked and he can use a lot of help!

A lot of members on our site really don't want to be known as a seller. They
don't mind trading or giving items and this can become a good opportunity to
clean out the garage and put a smile on someones face. If they are posting a
WTB add, you can be pretty sure the item will not end up on Fleabay. You can
help George!

George is not fixated on value. George likes to claim an item you don't need
or want anymore and take it to someone that needs or wants it.

So there is no tit for tat in George's travels. A willing person sends
something they are willing to part with to someone who desires it without it
ever being listed like a PIF in the PIF thread and they pay the postage so it
is always worthwhile to the recipient. The recipient may or may not post
about receiving a package from George.

If they do post about George's visit, it is always in a new thread and not a
many page long thread no one can keep up with. If the post is wild and
entertaining, that is even better!

And most of all, they are not obligated to give anything. They can just go
get a cup of coffee!

George thinks it is kind of nice to surprise people with a positive event.

Got Bush Whacked by George over the weekend. He and his friends tied me up and forced me to watch as they cast bullets and loaded up 43 Spanish ammo . Then they made me shoot it in my Rolling Block. Now what type of guy does that. He even made me keep the brass, loaded ammo, bullet sizer and mold said he would be back and hurt me if I didn't!!! or was it he would hurt my feelings and shoot all the ammo he and friends had loaded by themselves ?

Now if Georges buddy Benjamin and a few of his buddys (Grover Cleveland) would stop by we could have a party :)

had to read several threads concerning george before I figured him out. one question though, how does george know that you need an item and how does he know that you have an item to send. ok that's 2 questions--math ain't a strong suit.

never mind, read another couple of posts and the light came on.

Often brstevns, or me or BrassMagnet and some others will see posting and and send a coded G Signal and George will see it.

Anyone you know of that has a special need?

If you have a extra item, let me know. I will not need it as I have EVERYTHING
You see I am excessive compulsive to the MAX
But will send up the G Signal

discovered that brassmagnet resides in my general area and had a nice conversation with him until his mean better half got back from the store and put him to work. I don't drink coffee (never could stand the taste) but evidently I had better stock up so that if I ever get lucky enough that george pays me a visit he won't get mad at the lack of proper refreshment and leave without even saying "hi".

No worries George brings his own coffee just in case. He is ready for just about anything.

I also think George is squatting in my barn again. At first I thought it might be a coon or chicken that got in when I wasnt looking, but looks like he might be stockpiling material for a project.

I guess I am in receipt of some 'light fingered' goods.

I did a Lyman 310 trade with a member here. We won't mention his name. With the package I got there was some brass and an extra old Lyman tool that I didn't expect.

Mmm. Does this mean that Mr. OneDollarBill has paid me a call?

Or, perish the thought, does it mean he's on his way? Oh man, that's scary. What do I do? What do I do?

While you were admiring your new stuff, he was probably digging through your treasures deciding what he could use!
It may be too late! Change the locks. He may return!

You know, It is amazing,
it seems the more he takes the more I end up with.
The only question I have after he leaves is "Where am I going to put all this stuff" :)

George is in Glencoe

...I had to nail down all the goodies

...Somehow, someway, he latched onto a Lyman 45 lubesizer.

...He musta had a crowbar ?

But somehow, he is making it, so I am a happy camper as well.

If you see George and the 45, be careful...very very careful...you may end up happy too.

Be on the lookout!
Upgrade your security system while you can.
Just because it worked before doesn't mean he hasn't found a way around it!

Last time George was here about this time frame, he left with about 100 lbs. of WW ingots and about the same in Pure soft ingots. Don`t know where the 2 NOE 4 holers with handles came from that were on my casting bench - but there they were!Robert

Got a call out of the blue yesterday. Talked about an hour about many things, especially reloading and the process of getting started reloading. I've been studying the internet info and reading Lyman's and Lee's books as well as asking questions of local gunshop owners who reload about the details of reloading. Still a bit confused in some areas but that phone call yesterday provided way more direction and advice than I'd garnered from local sources. I read quite a bit about George and let me tell you how his actions warm my heart. It seems I just can't quit smiling when I think about the Christmas gift and the people that have been helped. I was thinking cast boolits was just another forum, boy, was I mistaken. It is soooo much more thanks to George.

How can one man cause so many security system failures?
Can it be the magic keys?

I gave up on the locks and alarms, just a waste of money with ole george. he has pilfered quite a few things from around here but he always seems to drop of just what I need, just when I need it.

Now I understand George. Unbeknownst to me I have been Georged, by George. Just last week I found a box of brass for a rifle I am in the process of acquiring. I dont know how he knew for sure I needed it. Now that I know it was George, I will have to go inventory everything and see what is missing. Will also inventory my sour mash spirits. If he found that stash, at least he didnt share with the dog, well on second thought I am not so sure.
