I loaded some new brass that I got with these mostly to fire form them. Turns out I found a pretty good load right off the bat. The brass is all the same weight and the flash holes have been deburred. Other than that there was no special care taken. I didn't set the powder to the back or the front just loaded and shot. There was no wind (for once). The powder was 5744 dropped from my rcbs powder drop thingy at 10.7-10.9 grains. I was shooting for 11 but was feeling a little lazy.

Here is the target:

Just thought I share and do a little bragging :-P

Southpaw, I just joined the forum and saw you .222 target post. Good shooting. I have a Remington 788 in .222 that I bought in the early 70's. Great gun. When I reloaded my own it was a tack driver at 100 yards.

Gotta love it when you find a good load right off the bat like that!

polee, welcome to the forum! I was gonna try to find a jacketed load for this gun but I might just play with this load a little more and see if I can tighten that vertical stringing. Thinking weighing the powder charges and the boolits. I would also like to get a neck die or at least a m-die for it.

Forgot to mention that this is in a 722. The 50 yard target was shots 36-40 and the 100 yard target was shots 41-45.
