That's interesting.
I didn't realize that Ruger was using 5 L/G bbls as well as S&W.
Our own 45Nut,here, has "V" block gages for sale. Designed specifically for measuring 5L/G bbl slugs. The' re an economical alternative to a Mich .
If there is a SMLE in your future you need one.

If you have a selection of sizing dies, you can try the slug in each until you find a snug fit. I have from .355" to .359" in .001" steps.

Providing the size dies are cut correctly. A recent RCBS sizer labeled .476" measured at .478" and wouldn't even chamber. I have gotten at least 3 oversized sizers in the last 2 years.
