New to the cartridge, initial loading is a RD 311-165 GC over 32grs 3031 laddering up to 33grs. Also considering Rx7 and looking for 22-2400 fps. Pretty sure I need to upgrade my alloy to HT 50/50.

Any suggestions?

Looking forward to see how it all works out with your new rifle and scope. I think your gonna really like both.

First try not so great, boolits got wobbly at 32.5grs, around 2100 fps. Not bad for ACWW's. Scope nice enough, would like a little more eye relief but moving it back helped. Adjustments were pretty good. 32grs was pretty nice load, will wait til weather cools off before I try HT'd boolits.

in my 1928 '99G I use the RCBS 30-150-FN sized .310" (largest size that chambers without lever resistance) made from HT WW. I drive them with 34.0 gr. IMR 3031 @ 2300 fps. My rifle has a slightly slower than normal twist and longer bullets get unstable making egg shape holes in the target along with larger groups.

Good points, 451whitworth. I'm convinced I need to get a harder boolit but was hoping to avoid buying another mould. Pretty sure this rifle has 1:12 rifling, was hoping it would stabilize the 165 above 2100 but won't know until I try. Thanks for the insight.
