Sorry, but I don't have any data for the Sierra 60 gr HP or 63 gr HP with AR-Comp. I do have the Alliant 2013 Reloader's Guide. It has listings for the Sierra 55 gr BTHP, the Hornady 68 gr BBTHP, and Sierra 69 gr BTHP with AR-Comp. Here are the max loads for those:

Sierra 55 gr BTHP, @ 2.240" OAL, Fed 205 primer, 25.6 gr AR-Comp, @ 3359 fps
Hornady 68 gr BTHP, @2.250" OAL, Fed 205 primer, 23.4 gr AR-Comp, @ 2969 fps
Sierra 69 gr BTHP, 2.260" OAL, Fed 205 primer, 23.2 gr AR-Comp, @ 2969 fps

Hope that helps get you in the ball park for your loads.

For a good cast bullet mold for your 16" AR. Check out NOE's 225 70 GR RN-GC. Go to: http://noebulletmolds.com/NV/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=373&osCsid=3ueeot07edhnd13tur85va8q85

55 gr is for a 1 in 8 or 9 twist. A 1 in 7 twist is supposed to have a heavier boolit like a 70 to 77gr or something around that weight.

Actually the 1/7 twist was made to stabilize the 62grn tracer. The 1/7 twist will shoot LC m193 sub moa in certain guns. I've yet to have one that shot worse than 1.5moa, most around 1moa.

my 1:7 shoots everything great down to 50 grainers. It shoots the 62gr tracers and 70gr TSX and even 90gr AMax. To the OP. Work up a load starting 15% lower than the 68gr load data from Alliant and max depending on what the rifle tells you. I definitely wouldn't go above their 55gr data unless you have a very generous throat.

Don't fall for that too fast twist BS. I've had talked to more than a few match shooters and read a few more that stated one of their most accurate loads in their 1 in 7 was a 52gr BTHP Match bullet.

My own 1 in 7 which is a parts gun with PSA 20" upper shoots 55s just fine and really likes Nosler 55gr BT. Sure it likes the heavier bullets too. That's what so nice about it. The 1 in 7 will blow apart thin skinned lite varmint bullets though like Sierra Blitz bullets. Even the 55gr ones. I use the Hornady 60gr V-Max in it for groundhogs.

Sorry I don't bother casting for anything smaller than 30 cal. It would seem to me the fast twist may be a challange for a cast bullet. I'll be watching this too see if you get any positive responces.

I am having success with 70 grn Mihec mold boolits in a 1 in 9 twist AR, cast with COWW +2% tin that are powder coated. I tried a 55 grn Lyman mold that I had but results weren't as good.

Check the sierra web site for their load data or give them a call.

I have found that 24grs of Varget has shot sub MOA in 4 AR's and two bolt guns with the 60gr hp Sierra's. The 1-7 can and will blow up any of the bullets depending on how it has been treated. The throat get ate out and the chrome starts to flake and it will eat up even a FMJ. The twist just makes it worse.
