I am renewing my patron status. Look around your house or shop to find something you no longer use that you could sell for a donation to the site. An auction for this item could have raised even more money: http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?246879-Filson-Cruiser-for-donation-to-CastBoolits

There is something laying around that you could use to make a good deal for a fellow member plus raise money for the site.

My donation went through PayPal yesterday. I cannot believe how much information I've learned over the last year from everyone by all the posts, replies, etc. This site has definitely saved me hours of trial and error and I am glad to give some back to be able to continue this learning process.

The email I got said they are looking to get $5000 and there are about 35,000 members.
If everybody chips in fifteen cents, that reaches the goal.

If only half of the membership donates, the 'fair share' jumps to thirty cents.

So PlayPalsie won't take $30.

Send Willy a check and watch him smile all the way to the bank.:bigsmyl2:

Now read what he said before wondering about updates.

Due to overwhelming e-mails, I will be very slow in updating this list. Please bare with me.

Most participating members on the forum donate something. As we are approaching 35,000 members, I would hope that more people would donate something. This is the best forum (IMHO) on the net, and deserves our support. I imagine that some long time lurkers also contribute from time to time. Just think: if all members donated $1.00, this site could afford to get even better. As it is, since I have been a member the target goal is always reached quickly and exceeded. Kudos to all who take the time to give what they can.

I don't think we can count on members with no posts to contribute. I am amazed when I page thru the member list, how many have never posted.

On the other hand, if everyone with at least 5 posts would contribute, I'm sure the goal would be reached quickly.

BTW, I'm not going to count how many are in either group.

I can't think of a forum I enjoy more than this one - good folks - good information - very worthy of our support - I appreciate everything on this site!

John Boy

If everybody chips in fifteen cents, that reaches the goal.
Charlie - you are absolutely correct! For the regulars on the site - good information provided, plus the topics are always changing - enough to interest all 35,000 plus.
As for the new posters - if they had to pay a gunsmith for information provided, one hell of lot more than 15 cents. And for the multitudes always looking for reloading data - good reference book is minimum 20 bucks
But there are too many 'Free Lunch' posters that are tighter than a clam's *** in water.
So being a good Samaritan - I did my good deed - paid the 15 cents for 132 free loaders and myself

Maybe, to move the donations for the forum... 1st' response to posts should be ... Did You Donate to Cast Boolits for website support? ;-)

Come On Guys - Even if your wallet is thin - pony up a Buck to get the banner removed ... Thank Ya Kindly

Yes, I'm also retired now and on a disability pension, but the info that I glean from reading through the posts on here is very valuable to me since I can always learn something new ... and I've been shooting and reloading and casting since I was a teenager! (I'm 61 now ...) I sent my $25.00 as soon as I received the email notification about the donation drive ...
