Is anybody waiting for backordered Starline .38-55 brass?

The reason I ask is I have had some on order since April. Recently the Starline website was taking orders and showing an August 17 delivery. Now it says: "Out of stock / no back order." Starline won't answer my e-mail asking if the August shipment has been made and is in the pipeline or if it has been rescheduled.

I almost wrote to them asking what happened to my order for 414Supermag brass I made back on May 7. The page still looks the same stating you can order but the delivery date is still unknown. Now I wonder if I write them if I'll get a response..

I did finally get an answer from Starline:

We have had some issues with the materials that produce this casing for this run.
We pride ourselves in a quality product and as such cannot produce those with the strict guidelines we adhere to.
We will be producing another run as soon as we get new material in. Unfortunately we do not have a firm date on that yet.

I guess they use a different type of brass to make these cases.

That's interesting, do you use 2.080 or 2.125" cases?

I use the 2.125 cases. I found some in stock at Widener's which I ordered and and canceled my back order with Track of the Wolf. It's funny - if you Google .38-55 brass for sale it does not show Widener's but they are on the their website and are in stock.
