Morning,
Just bought my first 45-70, a Browning 1886 a w/26" bbl. :-P I've got lots of ISO Core lead & COWW, and some SOWW.
The only mold I've got so far is a Saeco #015; with COWW & 2% tin it casts .459+ on the middle bands and .460+ on the base band, and weights 307gns. I plan on using this boolit for short range Cowboy Action Shooting, using around 14-15gns of Trailboss.
Would ISO sized at .459 work well in this rifle/application? Does the ISO need any extra added tin? Too hard/too soft?
Thanks,
Jim
