Any body using them for any kind of swaging. I have some, can't use them, if no one can they are going into the brass recycle box.

I have wanted to try to make .224" bullets out of them but I haven't been able to find in brass or copper ones, just plated steel. If you would check to make sure they aren't steel, I'll see if we can work something out.

It appears I have both, got them in a hand me down box. I have a 1#coffee can full of various used primers as well as a bunch of shotgun, 3/4 SFRB.

Just ran a magnet across them they appear be plated steel.

What the tragedy is they are copper, brass and silver in color, with a normal looking small primer in the center. Question is aren't primers brass?

Yes, every primer I have seen is brass or plated brass. For some reason the big cup in shotgun primers is steel. Maybe because it is a lot bigger cup and steel makes it cheaper?

They would be handy to use as a 2nd jacket to reinforce the base or protect the front of the core. The steel inner jacket will never touch your barrel that way!

In some thing like a 30 cal hollow/open tip hunting projectile for short range work. Would be pushed for less than MOA accuracy, but should get MOP (minute-of-pig) out to 200y.

You could also use it to split the core like a partition and use soft/hard lead combinations.

I have some old Fiocchi 6.45 shotgun primers that are brass, no magnet attraction. They are all unfired currently, though
