OK, Working with Tim Rahko (U.P. North) has led to the happy receipt of my new Swaging Press. This thing is heavy. I thought the UPS driver was going to pull a hernia just getting it down from the truck to roll it to my front door. As shipped, with the box he builds around it, it is 85 lbs. All the parts were individually wrapped and I will start tonight with the preparation. I degreased all parts and painted them with a Bronze Hammer tone finish by Rust-Oleum. Without further ado, here's the first day's efforts:111974111975111976

More to come as I put it together tomorrow

Racenviper, Rustoleum makes several hammer tone finishes. If you don't want to take the time for powder coating, that's an option.

Final assembly: Man this thing is tight. Tap to fit becomes Slam to fit. Works in smoothly.:

Tim's machinery is fantastic. This is one of the nicest machines I have ever used. Believe me, the pins the rotor runs on are so tight you better not get any paint in the hole or they won't fit.
Yes, I will recommend this to friends. Great guy to work with ,too. THANK YOU U.P. NORTH.

Now BT will send my 45 acp dies, I have my .224 dies and the 30 cal is just a bit away. Life just got a lot better.

Bill,
That press sure looks good. Didn't take you very long to get it all painted up either. I know you will enjoy that press for a lifetime, and it will last many lifetimes after we are gone. I am very happy you are pleased with it. Well time to get back to the grind. U.P. North

Best wishes with the press, it looks great and it towers over the LNL.

Looks good lets see the dies and finish bullets with a range report, it took me time to get everything dialed in , there's a learning curve when you get a new toy like that.
