Our own JeffinNZ has a wonderful article on his .30-30Win. Husqvarna single shot rifle in "The Fouling Shot" #230-12. He's even got the cover photo as well as one with himself and 2 wallabies, but none is wearing purple tights*. Congratulations, Jeff for a most interesting article!

*Jeff (below) now says they're "longjohns," not tights.

Received the Fouling Shot day before yesterday, got to sit down and read it last night.
Jeff's article was the high light of the issue. Well written and well illustrated.
Good show Jeff !!!

Maven, I think Jeff just realized that trying to fit purple long johns on dead wallabies might be a little difficult!

Always heard that it's good to have your picture in a newspaper or magazine, as long as it doesn't say "indicted" underneath. Good for you Jeff.

Great idea.

How about a link?

No link. It's in the CBA publication for members. HOWEVER the CBA are on a membership driver so if you follow this link John is happy to send you a sample Fouling Shot to snare your interest:

And you can mock my hunting attire all you like but I will have the last laugh when y'all turn up at the border to enter NZ for a hunting trip and the customs service issue you with your mandatory purple hunting longjohns. Yeah, I'll be laughin' then.

Rumor has it that if you come with your own mule, tights or long johns are not needed.

Waksupi is truly a renissance man. Hunter, shooter, boolit caset, bead worker, rifle maker, loob groove salesmand, and wallabi wrangler. WOW.

Thanks Jeff for a well written and illustrated article and cover. I enjoy paper magazines and books and have since I discovered Jack O'Conner while in second grade. I encourage other forum members to write an article for publication. I wrote an article covering our annual shoot for Mr. Garbe's Black Powder Cartridge Rifle News a few years ago and found it to be a satisfying experience.

Can the purple " tights"[smilie=l: be seen at a distance and catch one eye sight as good or better than the use of the hunter orange we use? I'm kind of trying to imagine what they would look like in the woods.

Probably not BUT you will sure part with your last meal when seeing someone stagger out of the woods wearing PURPLE TIGHTS.:bigsmyl2:
