Just in the process of moving house and am doing all the moving myself, I now have pains in muscles that I didnt even know existed! The house is now done and finished so its on to the garden shed(s) next. One of the sheds has got a large hedge that is touching the side wall and when I beat my way in between the two I noticed a large tarp covering something-got me wondering what was underneath?
1/3 ton + of lead sheeting!![smilie=w:
For the life of me I cant remember putting it there but am really glad I found it. My wife reckons I am going senile and I think she maybe right!

Same here, go looking for something and find tools I forgot I have and never used.

I have done the same thing when rearranging my garage. Can't remember getting something but it made it in there some how.

Yes, couldn't agree more. But, as soon as I get rid of something that I havent used for years I can guarantee that I will need it within a couple of weeks[smilie=b:

Are you planning on hiding your own Easter eggs next year?

Sorry, couldn't resist. I do like it when I find items previously bought and forgotten.

 You wouldn't believe the amount of times we have brought Christmas presents early and hidden them up so our boy doesn't find them, only to 'discover' them around May the next year (or the year after!)

All I have to do is start looking in containiers in the loading room. I often find new in the wrapper stuff from gun shows years ago. It is like Christmas.

Yeah, but 1/3 ton of lead! It would be hard for me to forget that since it's twice the amount that I currently have on hand :-)

Oh, and we do occasionally run into various undelivered Christmas gifts and unopened "bought this because it was a great deal" packages... and I do have at least two of many hand tools that I just couldn't find until I came home with another one.

I've come to the point where I know I bought something but can't find it so I just by another one (not expensive stuff). But I do find things I didn't know I had. All I have to do now is find my mind ....

I often find things when I do a clean up that I forgot I had. Finding lead and brass is always a welcomed surprise. I wonder if the beginning of Alzheimer's is that enjoyable? I know the end isn't.

Kinda like the the 400 million torch strikers I have.Remind's me of the $97 a month privates pay, towards the end of the month you're broke. One night, reading a book, turned the page, found $20--guy's we have beer, lets go!

Taylor, you reminded me of the time I was cleaning up the file cabinet and found $250 I had paper clipped to a deposit ticket over a year before - apparently I had been filing bills after a few adult beverages.

Since I wasn't earning much at that time, and rent wasn't much more than that for me in the 80's, it was a significant find.

I don't remember what it got used for (life), but I should have bought another gun with it!
