Seems like only yesterday it was just a little .35 caliber mold. Now it is all grown up and .45 caliber.

Oh wait, it is just my new to me Accurate 460365E next to some 358432's. It will be interesting to see how it works in my .45-70 Pedersoli Sharps as a light weight, short range bullet for punching paper and plinking. I thought they looked neat being so similar to each other.

As Sargent Schultz said..."verely interesting". I like it and predict it will be a shooter. Keep us posted.

And then you dig them back up and the cycle starts all over again

Nice - now you have to show some targets

I really wanted to try it this past week, but ran out of time to get some loaded.

Indians called that 45 cal boolit 'Whumpum'
...cause that's exactly what they do to anything they hit.

Looks great!

I think they look pretty impressive loaded, and would look pretty impressive in a sixgun. Loaded with 4227 on the left and 5744 on the right, with some left over round ball loads in the middle. They gave me a chance to try out my new press, which I did not clean up 100 percent so excuse the rust stains and have not permanently mounted yet.

Cool press! Art wants some targets, I need to shoot a new C&B revolver. PM me if you want to meet @ the range this weekend, texassako.

Well, I have to say it is the best shooter so far for me in my Pedersoli Sharps .45-70. I was beginning to wonder since I have had a difficult time with it after some early mentored success with BP loads. Punches real clean holes like a giant hole punch! Glad I picked up that IMR-4227 the other day since it was the winner with this 50 yard target while 5744 just plain sucked:

I think it will do better with a little more load workup, and a clearer target. I think there was a reason I found them in the back of a closet.

I was wondering what was up with those targets, I need a big bull or diamond with sights like you were using. They look pretty cool but I need lots of definition for open or peep sights. Nothing like clean, full-caliber holes. Nice shooting.

Nice lookin' boolits, like they were machined.

I tried plain printer paper for targets, on brown cardboard backer
they stand out pretty good. Could draw a spot in the middle
