Lyman's Cast Bullet handbook lists many loads for the 308 using more versatile powders than the
standard reduced loading powders. The reason for my post, is to the gain of more load selection
for my 7.65x53 Argentines. The case dimensions being nearly identical.
I believe the popularity of the 308 dictates the extensive testing and load data and obsolescence
of the 7.65x53 dictates the lack of loads for the Argentine. However more testing is in order !!

Cases may be nearly identical but are the cartridges (and rifles) rated for the same pressures? With low pressure CB loads it may not be a factor but it will be a good thing to keep in mind as you develop a load.

the majority of the loads for the 308 still fall well below the standard pressures of the 7.65;
I did bear that in mind while investigating this phenomenon.
My Argentine's are 1909 actions, btw.
