Does anyone know what resizing equipment is exactly needed to form .225 brass from .30-30 brass. I know there will be some cutting to make the final .225 requirements but I'm willing to do it. Just need to know what equipment is needed. Thanks

I'm reading this in my book, anneal the case, then use 219 zipper progressive necking dies followed by the 225 Winchester F/L die but be careful of the shoulder location. I do more than a few conversions, this is something I would love to try if only I had the 225 Win dies and a gauge. A gauge or the rifle is the only way something like this can be done accurately.

Despite what my book says.....I've done conversions that don't follow the instructions in the book with impressive results.

Benson, to convert 30-30- brass to 225 Winchester you will need a lathe. Without one you are out of luck. The rim on the 30-30 is .63k and the 225 is .43 appr. Been there , done that. The thing I hate most about the .225 is the fact that you can't open the chamber to any other .22 cal. It is just too large a case.
