I finally got enough .22 WMR ammunition to finish the PMR-30 review from the thread I posted sometime back on the .22 WMR ballistic test.

Thoughts and opinions please.

Three shot groups don't give much confidence in the pistol's accuracy potential. If you haven't enough ammunition to shoot a series of five-shot groups, a single ten-shot group reveals alot.

My ca. 1942 High Standard Model B with ordinary CCI Blazer ammo will average about 1-1/2" at 25 yards off sandbags, hand held. Over the years that pistol has taken truckloads of small game. I have little use for any handgun which cannot produce a two-inch five or six-shot hand-held group at 25 yards, on demand, anytime, anywhere, firing hunting ammunition from a supported field position. Makes no difference if it's a .22 rimfire or .44 Magnum. A good gun should be capable of that.

I see exactly where you were coming from but as you said .22 WMR is tough to come by and I wanted to shoot a group with each manufactures round, since some performed better than others.
I figured a 3 shot group will give someone a good idea on accuracy if it is a tight enough group.

I enjoyed reading your Glock 17 review. It is much like how I came to own one. I always snubbed them and decided to take a chance when I found a sweet deal on a nearly new gen. 4 model 19. I ended up loving it, probably the best autoloader I've ever owned. Now I'm daydreaming about getting a 26 to go with it!

Man that was tough. I contacted my rep Hornady and he was trying to find me a box when 1 box came on the LGS and my buddy know I was looking for some. I was hoping for Winchester PDX 1 and Speer Gold Dots as well but man any .22 WMR is tough to come by now.

Thank you very much.

Nice review Hunter (http://castboolits.gunloads.com/member.php?2160-Hunter), I like the ballistic gel testing
- I'm guessing that while it appears deadly it's not much in the instant incapacitation department unless it hits an organ that gives feedback like a liver or heart shot.

Thank you sir. Yes I agree on the less than ideal carry round for most.

Liked it!

The first sentence of the third paragraph needs editing for clarity.

Good catch, thank you sir. Edited to keep the jist but hopefully it makes more sense. Somethings it makes sense in my mind but not so much on paper.
