I was talking with John today about the price for the 314-120 group buy molds. I suggested they offer a 2 cavity mold with some of the features of the 6 cavity design, IE it would fit the 6 cavity handles, would have 2 point sprue plate hold down, and dowel pins.
John asked me what I did not like about the present 2 cavity design, I of course said it was a brilliant design, and that people that are very carefull can cast many thousands of bullets from one, the downside being a ham handed feller can ruin one in a day, and I made the point that most of us are somewhat in the middle of those two people. I pointed out there was a real void in between the 17.00 Lee 2 cavity (excellant buy for the $$) and more robust designs that cost a LOT more money.
If you think this is a great Idea, tell Lee so in an email and or a letter, I would never think this would replace the $17.00 1-2 cavity molds, but if it came in at say $25.00 it would offer another choice for situations where one wouldnt want or need a 6 cavity, and the 6 cavity handles are much more robust too. Plus the added benefit of 2 point sprue plate hold down.
