Say what you will about that senile old sell out, he walked the walk. Like Teddy R. or Lewis Puller, his son went into harms way too.

He might not measure up to my conservative standards but when it comes to the health and welfare of America's sons and daughters in uniform I have the utmost trust in the man. He might not have Bob Dole's starch but few do. I'm inclined to cut the guy some slack.

A point well made Dean. THAT is what gave me the cause for a great deal of thought when he ran for POTUS. I am far from a fan of his but I do respect him for that.
