hey ... does anybody know how to change the extractor in the encore barrels to an ejector?

one small thing i do NOT like about my encore when shooting is having to pluck out the shell every shot under the scope. not a bad thing for target but hunting is nother storie. [smilie=s::shock: :|

Please call the Thompson/Center Customer Service Dept. at 866-730-1614 and let us know wha they say.

I do NOT believe the ejector option is available on Encore only Contenders

This article says " As for those who prefer an auto ejector, stand by. There are rumors afoot of a potential offering in the future."

which is interesting in the "stand by " thing as that was in 2011. wish they had come thru with this feature. my encore was new just last year with no word of an "either/or" feature for ejector/extractor.

It takes a stiff coil spring to load the different extractor and the lug needs to be machined for a trigger to be activated once the barrel is opened. The early break open guns had the ejectors and the concept is the same. I believe the cost was around $150 back when T/C did it. It's not as easy as you might think.
