View Full Version : What mold do they use, do you know?

Bayou Bullets and SNS Casting have a 9 MM 147 grain RNFP that looks like they

came from the same mold.

They have one large LUBE GROOVE (that is not really needed as they are
HI-TEK COATED Projectiles).

Does anyone know what manufacturers mold they came out of?

The projectiles are RNFP and are .675 in overall length.

I have a CZ SP-01 Target that likes them.

I thought that I might like to cast and coat them at a later date if I find the mold.

this one?
you'll see it on the left in the middle.
an often overlooked source for very good quality molds I have about 20 of them.

Yep, they most likely buy their molds from Magma, and are probably using Magma Bullet Master machines to cast them with. I've got about 200 Magma molds, and one of their Mark 6 Bullet Masters.

Hope this helps.

That doesn't really look like it. That says it's a Hollow Point Copy.

The 147 RNFP Bayou and CNS looks to have a slightly more slender tapering nose.

.675 overall bullet length.

Still looking for an answer, the Magma Molds look like a little different profile.

I found another manufacture and asked him, as his 147 looks like
what I'm looking for,

THEY ARE MAGMA MOLDS.

The Magma bullet mold page is a drawing and not a photo

and seems to be a TAD OUT OF SCALE for the radius on the 147 RNFP.

Thanks for those that answered, I have the info I was looking for.
