Last fall I did alot of work with cast in a savage 111 LH 7 remmag. The one load that was more fun and accurate than cast should be was Lee soupcan boolit and 10 gr Trail Boss. This is not for the hyper velocity crowd! So over winter I made a mill bit to the profile of the Lyman30- 440 boolit(I think thats the number, it looks like a wadcutter) and milled a deeper profile in the mold. Result is a perfect 149 gr wadcutter boolit that looks nasty. Back to the Trail Boss powder recipe of 10 gr I go as I know it shot well last fall and this should show if the boolits are good or junk. I shot this load and again it produced 3/4 inch groubs at 80 yards. Recoils like a 223. If you want shooting time with a 7 mag and not get the snot kicked out of you and let the neighbors think your shooting a 22 Hornet give this trail boss load a try. They seal perfect, no smokey brass and rather reasonable to boot!
