I've always used cases formed from .405 Basic brass to feed my Highwall, now I'm going to try "proper" cases from Rocky Mountain Cartridge Co. Two questions:

1. Since they are rather pricey, should I anneal before the first loading?

2. Since they are the "proper" size, the rim is larger than the .405 so that shell holder doesn't work. I can resize with my Forster Co-Ax press with the universal shell holder, but that's a pain to set up to prime then back for seating.

RCBS doesn't even list the caliber for dies or shell holder any more—even in the special order section. Any suggestion for a shell holder (I have dies)? It might be cheaper/easier to get a second set of shell holder plates for the Co-Ax, but it never hurts to ask.

Thanks,

Richard

Ch 4d is probably your best bet for dies etc.

Don't forget to check and see if Buffalo Arms has the stuff on hand.
