Well, after about 25 years I think she finally gave it up. Although it still heats up real good. I rebuilt the lift handle with a free kit from Lee a couple of years ago, and I don't think it is worth going through all that again. It looks like I will be buying a new one pretty soon. My first bottom pour pot was a Lyman, it lasted about 15 years before the heating element burnt out, even back then Lyman wanted way more to rebuild it than a new Lee 20#er cost. I've still got two Lee 10# pots, one for pure lead and one for alloy, the problem with 10#ers is they run empty to quick.

In spite of the naysayers, this thread/post is exhibit A as to why the Pro 4 20lb is an incredible value. Lee Precision customer service is excellent.

+1 I've never had any trouble with my Lee 20 lb. pots. One is a bottom pour and the other is not. I dip mostly, but they both work great, never give any trouble, and are a great value.

I love my 4-20's. Work great and I have NEVER had any drippy problems like so many moan about on here. Guess I hold my mouth right?

Good value.

I figured the response would be as such. I will be buying a new one.
Thanks guys. I feel the same way about at least 90% of Lees products, including their molds. I have a bunch of them.

I understand how that could be a hard decision, ---Lets see now, Lee pot $60 bux or so,
other pots $275+ Hmm, that's a tuff one. :kidding::kidding:

You can't beat those pots...excellent for twice the cost. When my old Lyman Model 61 bit the dust that's what I bought and it's turned out to be superb.
