There are a couple "case irons" on the market to remove dents/dings from brass necks. Does anyone use one of these? How effective are they? It seems like they are just a metal cone on a handle. Am I missing something?

Edit: It looks like their is a flat spot running the length of the cone.

I use a couple of differents size punches. Rarely met one I couldn't fix. A few, though..

I'm scratching my head wondering why you would need it. Does it do something the neck ball in a size does not?

I have had dents that did not come out when resizing. So I am guessing these tools can remove some of the dents. I actually made myself one today based on the pics that can be seen at the Buffalo Arms site. I'll try it out next time I dent a case. Mine is big enough for up to 38 caliber.

I just load them and shoot them...the dents come right out.
