So 155 & 165 grain bullets seem to be pretty popular for .40 S&W personal defense, but I can't seem to find any cast bullet molds for 155 or 165 grain, am I looking in the wrong places?

gembob, have you looked at Lyman???
In the 2007 product catalog they have mold # 401654 which is 150 gr. If cast out of WW metal I'd guess it would come pretty close to 155.
Also if you can find an old 401638 in the Devastator Hollow Point version it is 155gr.
It was made specifically to use WW metal. I have one and use it in my .40 Baby Eagle. It is only single cavity but you can cast them fairly fast.
Saeco has bullet # 040 which is listed at 155 gr.
Hope this helps.

I did see the Lyman, but I guess I just assumed that if it was listed at 150 that's what it would be (I'm new to this). But thanks for the help, I'll check out the others.

Lee makes a two cav 401-145-SWC that drops WWs at 150gr.

The Lee 6 banger 401-175-TC is the shiznit in 10mm. Runs as well in the 40 shorty.

If you look around RCBS made a 170 SWC but they are out of production I guess. I have one, and no it's not for sale. CB.

I ran a batch of harder stuff through one of these and they were running in the 153-158 range. With WW and a couple pounds of the hard stuff (30+bhn) they ran about 173 on average.

why doesn't lee make the 145 swc in a 6 banger? I'd think that'd be a great seller/

lyman made a 150 swc that looks like there 200 swc .45acp bullet. The mold is discontinued but ive found a couple on ebay. Its hands down the most accurate .40 bullet ive found. That 145 lee looks alot like it. Ive never tried it but it may be worth a shot or two.

Don't know what mold you are talking about but I run WW in both molds and come out +5gr from nominal in both molds.

I casted some but never shot any. Gave all I had away for samples.
