I have 8 lbs of H335 that I would like to use in my 30.06. Action is 98 Mauser. Barrel is 1 in 10 twist. Boolit is GC'ed Lee C 309 170 rfn. Alloy is COWW with 25% Linotype. Air cooled and lubed with White Label Lube's XLOX. I've had good luck with 13.5 gr. Red Dot but would like a little more speed to hunt with. BTW any Idea what the speed of this combo is? Don't have a chrono. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys and girls. Best site and people on the NET.

HHMM I use H335 in my 458 Lott with J werds , a bit slow IMO for a 30-06 , but I cant say for certain , cause I dont load for the round

Do not load H335 in charges having more than 15% airspace. I was not able to get a safe full charge Ball M2 equivalent with 150-grain jacketed in my Garand. Very erratic velocities and ignition and I ringed the chamber neck where the base of the bullet was up into the cylindrical part of the neck.

My Garand/H335 results were similar to those of Outpost75's, but fortunately my rifle was undamaged.

With H335 and 150-grain Hornady FMJ, the rifle gave consistent FAST hangfires on every shot.... "cli-boom"!

I pulled the bullets from the remaining rounds and substituted H4895 for the 335. On re-testing, with the different powder being the ONLY change, the rifle fired normally in all respects.

H335 is now never used in my '06 rifles, but it serves admirably for me in the the two NATO rounds: 5.56 and 7.62.
