S. 2363 (https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/s2363/text) - "Bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act of 2014" was added to the Senate’s floor schedule for July 09, 2014. Sec. 102 amends Toxic Substances Control Act (15 U.S.C. 2602(2)(B)) to eliminate the jurisdiction of the EPA over shot, bullets and other projectiles, propellants, and primers.

If this passes the potential for a nationwide ban of lead ammunition by the EPA will be mitigated.

The The Humane Society has issued an ACTION CALL (https://secure.humanesociety.org/site/Advocacy?cmd=display&page=UserAction&id=6451#.U7HUGvldXYg) to fight this bill.

The EPA jurisdiction on this has already been prevented by previous law.

the epa is getting out of control..
they sent me a letter "asking" about coming and testing my water well, with a thinly veiled disguise about not letting them test it.
I don't have a water well....

This bill has had any meaningfull pro gun parts pulled out. this is simply a way for harry reid to try to prop up democrats who's butts are in hot water during an election year.

Bill has been blocked by Reid because of the Amendments being added. He does not want any sticky votes on the record before the elections this fall.
