Value of 12" Colt Frontier 22lr

Hi all,

I'm trying to determine the resale value of this firearm. I'm being offered it in a trade. I can't seem to find anything like it on Gun Broker to really get an idea of what retail might be.

The classified ad states: "colt frontier scout lawman series Wyatt Earp 22lr"

It appears to be a 12" model

Any help is much appreciated

i have the same pistol mine was made in the early 1970 the one i have has a 7" barrel it was my first pistol
i cant put a dollar amount on it but its a great gun

The last time I seen one of these on the local gun sales site, they were asking $1200.00 for it. Don't know if it sold for that or not, but that was the selling price.

The last one I saw for sale like that went for 799.99 three years back, mint, no box, "Buntline" barrel. The standard length guns go for much less.

This is a variation I didn't know was made. The wyatt earp commemorative was made in the Scout era in the late 60's. A scout frame was not steel and it would not take a case hardening. The buntline scouts had 9 1/2" in barrels. The buntline peacemakers introduced in 1970, had 7 1/2 barrels. You may have a gun that the barrel was changed such as a gun that started out as a peacemaker. Is it a 9 1/2 in. barrel?
