Anyone have any experience with this discontinued Lee mold? I was looking for info on another mold when I came across this 9MM mold still in stock at some sellers. How does it compare to the 120g TC or the 358-105-SWC? Primary use would be plinking in my Hi-Power clone.

First off, it isn't discontinued. Look under new products for 2014 at the top of the Lee Precision page.
Second, there are many threads on here talking about that boolit.
Here is a link to a custom search engine on google that will do a better job of searching this site than the one provided here.

It is a light boolit that works very well although needs to be loaded short to feed in many pistols. Accuracy is fine.

Thanks for the correction, Tazman. I jumped to the conclusion (I know, I know) that it was discontinued when the Lee site showed the old style (pre-2012) blocks as replacement parts. The only previous threads I had seen here referred (or so I thought) to the Makarov 365-95 mold. I need to read a little more carefully.

You might also want to check out the ranch dog version of that boolit since they are nearly identical. It has a faithful following as well.

I got a 6 cavity version of this mold from Midsouth last week; it is not in the Lee catalogue, and I can't find it in the paper catalogue they sent with the order. I'd heard here some time ago that Midsouth had some custom Lee moulds, and this must be one. The price was the same as the other Lee 6 cavity molds, which sure makes it attractive compared to a group buy. When I checked back, they were sold out. Another surprise was a 6 cavity Lee custom mold in 22 cal. I thought about getting it just based on price, since I had the impression that Lee didn't make them that small, especially in 6 cavity. BTW, the 95 gr casts like a house afire, a whole bunch of little boolits in nothing flat. They look great; I mean to try them in Bersa 380 soon.

Not a custom mold. It is listed on the Lee web site. Click on the link at the top of the page that says - 2014 New products - and you will find it listed there.

I picked up a 6 banger from Midway bout 4 months ago. Seems identical to the ranchdog even they list it as being .356 mine is .359 and 100 grains. The .357 sig likes it, but my 9mm AR, and 1911 are having some trouble with the nose meplat even with polished ramps.

You cant go wrong with the 120 grain TC mold. Everything I have eats it, and it shoots great. Get the 6 banger in that one for sure.

The 95 grainer works great in 380's, less well in 9 mm. In the 9 mm, it shoots quite low, at least in my experience, 6-8 inches low at 25 yards.
