Guys, looking at the cartridge dimensions it look like a set of .32 ACP dies 'might" also serve to load .32 S&W long as well as .32 H&R Mag. Does anyone have any real-world experience in doing so?

I'm not only a cheap SOB, I like multiple use items! :)

If all the brass you are reloading come from your own gun, it would probably be more of neck sizing.
Never done it personally but it probably wood work.
What have you got to loose load 5 and see how they work.

Quite possible, the 32 ACP is slightly smaller than the 32s. Your cases will be a little bottle-necked.

My Lee carbide sizing die is marked for both calibers.

I have used both 32 acp to load 32 S&W (and long) and 32 S&W dies to reload 32 acp. You will need the correct shellholder for your cartridge of choice. The trouble you could get into using 32 acp dies to load the 32 s&w long or the h&r mag is being able to back the die out of the press enough to get proper crimp.

Thanks guys; I guess I just couldn't resist the "need" for another set of dies anyway so I ordered a set of lee's from Midway!

Doesn't the .32 S&W long take a roll crimp whereas the .32 ACP takes a taper crimp? IMO, trooperdan would be better off using the correct die set. Lee die sets are very affordable.

My RCBS die set, from about 1985, is marked for both and came with two expander stems. Regards, Woody
