I'd like to try a box or two of this 200 grainer in my .38 Special revolvers but haven't been able to find a mold, and I understand the GB is sold out.

Does anyone know of a commercial operator who sells soft lead bullets cast from this mold? At this point my only alternative is to order out a Lyman mold, but I'd like to shoot the things first.

Thanks

The Lyman products web page still shows #358430 in production. MANY bullet mould designs spend much of their time these days in "sold out" status at retailers due to insane & unprecedented demand. I'm not aware of any bulletmakers furnishing these castings commercially, but a quick look at this site's vendor listings might uncover one or two.

Or you can use a CB sponsor, Happy7, at Matt's Bullets. He casts a copy of the original British Mark I 200g bullet, which (I think) inspired the 358430.

I believe Matt's bullets has what you want. I don't think they are "soft lead" though. Fast shipping and nice boolits.

Thanks for these tips. Yesterday I placed my first order with Matt's Bullets.

Smitty,
Matt casts some mean lead hollowpoints, too. His .44-250g expands impressively even from the 2.5" barrel on my Bulldog Pug, and his .45-200g hits very hard at 900+ from a full-size 1911. Which reminds me, I need to order more soon :-)
