I have a CZ82 which is a 9X18 Makarov and I could use some assistance with load suggestions. I cast a 98gr RN boolit and have tried several loads and powders and have yet to find one that really does the gun justice. I have used Bullseye loading from 3.2 to 3.5 gr, Tight Group 3.4gr and Alliance A5 at 5.0gr. I am not sure if there are other Makarov shooters on this forum but if you are out there, I would love to hear your suggestions.

Thanks

I use 6.3gr Accurate Arms No. 5 powder, Speer Cases, .975 O.A.L. with a 95gr boolit. This is a full power load! Approach with caution!! May not be suitable for your firearm. Verify this load in loading manuals before trying it, the last time I loaded any 9 X 18 was in 1995. I've also used this load in cut back 9 X 19 brass.

I load a 95 or so grain swc with 3.0 Bullseye. Tried up to 3.3, but saw no advantages. 3.0 shoots pretty soft. Also installed a new recoil spring in my '82, now the cases land next to me instead of the next county!

Also have a CZ82. Fired loads listed in Lee second edition and Lyman 4th edition CB manual. Used a Lee 365-95-1R mold. Tightest group at 10 yards was 4.4 grains Acc #5, OAL .984. Brass was once fired PPU.
