who has the Lee 6 cavity with the most use?

I have a Lee 6 cavity 45 cal 200 swc tl mold that has made approxamitly 6000 bullets. The sprue plate has galled the top of the mold due to my ignorance. I have some sprue plate lube on the way from Alaska.

Anyways, it still casts good bullets. What is the most bullets you guys have put thru your 6 cavity Lee's?

Last month I cast 7000 of the new 44 Slims over the space of 3 sessions. I have 4-1/2 coffee cans full of them. I also sized them on a Lee sizer die and press.

The 2281R 230 RN mould I have is likely over 10,000 now, but I didn't keep track. I have been using the Bullplate lube on the block tops and sprue, and LBT's lube on the pins. Other than the handles needing to be siliconed, no damage, and as tight as new. One of the best 6 cavity Lee's I have gotten.

One Lee six bag of mine has 22,000 9mm slugs to its credit. That is also the last Lee I purchased. There are six others here that " I " have managed to screw up one way or another. Several other buddies have some they have also messed up. The aluminum mold blocks aren't as forgiving as the steel blocks. Breaking off the sprue cutter handle is our most common failure. Lee will sell us individual parts and also reccomends use of #2 alloy to prevent further breakage. Buying less expensive blocks only works when you pay attention and use them carefully. It leaves me out. Best of luck to you.

We have some here that have been supplying CB boolits to those so inclined since the beginning of the CB craze. I guess bout 15 years. At this point they are very smooth operating. No gouges in the blocks or plate but the plates do show a bit of wear at the cam. Should make many more boolits and will likely be left to my Jr's at some point.

I don't own any 6 bangers, but I own a lot of the single and two cavity. Some of the 2 cavity have cast 8 to 10 thousand each and still work just fine.

I used welders soap stone on the top of my molds before getting bulllshop's stuff. Just buy a case (4 bottles of the stuff) when you place an order - you'll be finding uses for it. I'm wondering how bullshop would slick up a transmission?
