Tom at Accurate Bullet Molds has put my new short 9mm/.357 rebated boattail bullet design in his catalogue as number 36-109A....

As a solid it should cast at 109 gr., and if you have the mold modified to a HollowPoint between 100-103 gr. depending on how large a cavity you choose.... The Meplat is large enough to accommodate a 3/16" HP pin.... It will fit in any of the repeater magazines in the Korean guns, even in the shuttle on a Career Ultra (if you remove the pellet stop).... as the LOA is only 0.450"....

cast that out of tin and it's going to be <70 grs. Wonder if it can tolerate having a big, conical hollowbase cavity turned into it on a lathe? :-) Now you're talking <60 grs, and over 2000 fps in a regular 9mm. I did this sort of thing, using Lee liquid lube, about 10 years ago, but I didn't get to explore it nearly to the depth at which I would like. I was using a 95 gr lrn mold, for the 380.

Not so sure how the boattail would react to the heat of a PB.... this is intended for airguns.... but it might be interesting....

That looks great. Makes me want a big bore air gun. It is more appealing if I can cast my own bullets. I have bought too much already. have to save up a little!!!!
