My 94 carbines are a 20" 32 Spl and a couple of Trappers in 45 Colt and 30-30. The front sight from my 32 Spl wound up on my 38-55 rifle because the original sight was too tall for BP loads.
What front sight do you have now?

Yes, but I really haven't figured out exactly what your question is. Some front sights are dovetailed directly to the barrel, some are dovetailed into a raised rib or base. Some, like my 1920's made carbine has a leaf and bead that's pinned into what appears to be an integral base.

Which do you have and do you really need the total sight height or just the insert?

As Woody1 said, it depends upon how the front sight is mounted in the barrel.

Some "standard" M94 Carbines used a square post as the base for a pinned-in front sight blade, some front sights were mounted in a barrel's front sight ramp dovetail, and yet other front sights were mounted directly in a barrel dovetail (no ramp).

The carbines with front sight ramps will take a noticeably-shorter front sight blade than a direct barrel dovetail mounted setup.

Ramped front sight blades can run from .260" high to .312", depending on the rifle/chambering; direct barrel-mounted front sight blades ran about .500" high.

Ramp-mounted front sight blades will need a "medium" (.340") base width regardless of height; direct barrel-mounted front sight blades will need a "wide" (.531") front sight base to fill the wider (than a ramp's) dovetail slot.

M94 Carbines equipped with a receiver peep sight will generally require a front sight blade approx .10" higher than standard, regardless of how it's mounted, in order to zero the gun (@ 100yds).

I think that's close, my 1969 built 32 WS carbine had a ramp sight about .360. Funny thing it's just the right height for my 38-55 rifle with a dovetailed barrel mount, original sight was too tall for my BP loads. 32 is wearing a Lyman globe front sight these days and a Williams receiver sight these days.

Please be careful, here, so you don't get confused with the numbers.

The ".340" measurement is the WIDTH of the BASE of a front sight blade - the same width as your rifle's front sight ramp - and is NOT the sight height !

What you need is a front sight blade that's about .343" HIGH (co-incidentally), and also has a .340" wide base - like the William's #56442 / 343-M in the link I posted. (Lyman & Marbles have the same sytem, with slightly different heights)

The ideal is to install a front sight with a height that will zero the rifle @ 100yds, with the rear sight in the middle (up/down) of it's elevation adjustment - so the rear sight will have plenty of adjustment room, to zero a different load.
