Attached pictures not showing

Anyone have any problems seeing pictures that people have made an attachment? I can not see any. It says bad link or something like that.

They should embed easily and every time......IF you did not try to upload huge files from you iPhone. Keep the size under 400K.

I have been having difficulties as well, I have been using tinypic.com to load photos to them, this website then spits out a URL you can copy and paste into your thread reply.

Yes I can see the picture in post #7, but the link in post #9 says Invalid attachment.

Same here. Something changed when the last outage happened. Ever since then I get the invalid warning.

What ever you are doing.......it does NOT work! At all. YOU may be able to see them because they reside on YOUR computer. None of us can see them.

Just attach pictures thru the "go advanced" function as you are supposed to, not thru some funky other program.

My photos are hosted on an external server (photobucket) and I link them here. Saves on server space, bandwidth and processor resources. Also seems to work every time. At the pictures which say "Attachment 109XXx" stored on our server or external?

Same as ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^.

All my photos I load the correct way thru here using "go advanced" work. The ones that say "attachment" do NOT.

I use both iPad and computer.....neither show up.

So for the guys that posted pic that do not show, are you getting the pics off of your computer? Or are they hosted somewhere? I host pics on this site and on photobucket.

Tell us how you are attaching the pics so maybe we can figure this out. It seems that a lot of others are having the same problems. I see it in a lot of post.

If any attachment opens for me it is a miracle. "Invalid Attachment specified, etc" is the usual result. NONE of the attachments in post #17 would open. All of this from my home computer running Windows 8.1 etc......charlie

This is still being worked on by a bunch of people, along with one of the developers of the software. So yes it is a known problem that is actively being worked on. Thanks for your patience.

Earlier today I started a new thread in Reloading Equipment. I had to add the pictures twice to get them to show up. I used the "Insert Image" icon both times; uploaded them to the server.

Dunno if this will help or not, but before I finalize a post, I always press the [PREVIEW BUTTON] in the advanced tools section. I rarely if ever use the quick reply function.

During the preview I can spell check my post, see how it will look, be formatted, and if any pictures work, etc.

I often can tell if there is a problem with an attached photo just from the preview.

In the past while composing a post close to midnight, I have noticed when the clock ticks past 12:00PM to 12:01AM while I am still writing out my post that my attachments are no longer a valid when previewed. I have had to re-attach them again.

This is while using the Manage Attachments button after a file upload to what I assume is cast boolits photo storage. When I have the manage attachments window open I drag and drop a photo, and then press the Insert Inline option. This way the photo shows up in the main body of the post, instead of at the bottom or end of the post as an attachment - like so.

This hasn't happened to me for a while now, but it was something I noticed previously when using the forum software. Figured it's worth mentioning.

Hope you can figure out the bug, I know that tracking stuff like this down can be a real hassle sometimes.
