I just saw NOE's sale e-mail and it's time to pull the trigger on something for my RIA 1911. Does anybody have any suggestions for a mold from him...especially one that is in stock? I don't know a lot about 1911's and cast but I'd imagine RN or SWC would feed best. PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong.

453-200 SWC. My RIA eats these like a fat boy with a bag of M&Ms.

454 230gr RN (H&G 34). My stock Colt Series 70 loves them.

Well ****, now I have to buy 2. Wife isn't going to like this one...

230gr RN is GI standard, right? Might as well start there.

Yes the 230 jacketed RN is the standard for military ball ammo. The 200 gn. SWC is the most popular in NRA Bullseye and the action games. Your pistol should handle either.

NOE makes wonderful molds. However, years ago I bought the Lee 200gr microgroove SWC, and it has worked great in my AutoOrdnance .45. It has worked so well, that I would be hard pressed to switch to another mold. 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it!' I'm sure whatever choice you make from NOE will serve you grandly. mikey

I'd get this one, the HG 34 OR

Noe's copy of the RCBS 45 200 SWC, I really like that one.

I have a 230 grain HP mold. The big HP,commonly known as a flying ash tray, and it is a great bullet. Easy to cast once you get the hang of the HP part.

I have the H&G 34 clone from NOE......the 5 cavity aluminum mold just casts like a dream, if you get going with this one, in no time you a huge pile of beautiful shiny boolits.
