Range Lead

I am in the process of reclaiming bullets from a police range. My questions are --is the copper jackets saleable as scrap. ? I will seperate the lead and smelt down and sell the lead. Am I off base?? Thanks

My local scrap yard will buy them. He is leary and wont give the same price as burnt copper wire but my jacket material was not very clean. Jay
