I always enjoy going back and watching this old series , very informative if you are interested in the history of the rifle .

I have the full program on DVD. About 2 years ago, plus or minus, the complete youtube program was available. Then it disappeared. Then reappeared in this youtube series. Something about copyright workarounds???- for a 1969 historical documentary no less.

No matter, thanks for posting the link. It is excellent and recommended for anyone interested in US Colonial era firearms manufacture.

I still remember when my parents took me there as a kid, they had that crazy jig for cutting rifling in barrels after they hammered a flat piece of metal around a mandrel.
