Simple question, what are the heaviest .224 bullets that can be swaged from 22 RF and 22 Mag cases ?

RF= depends on how much exposed lead you are comfortable with. I like to go up to 70 grains with the 22lr jacket. About 53-55 makes a very nice open tip bullet from the 22lr jacket.

22mag cases = heavy! over 100 grains if your barrel can stabilize it and point form die has the room for it.

I like flat base bullets from lr brass jackets in the 53-55 grain range, 6s ogive.

With my particular dies (Corbin) 22 LR I can due up to 64 gr. With 22 Mags the heaviest I've done is 75 gr and they are a pain to do. I made some real nice 69 grs today.

110 grain .243 bullets with .22 lr cases? Those must look like half jacket bullets. I'm making 95 grain soft point .243's that I trim the .22 mag jackets to .810" long.

Bullshop has a pretty sweet set up for his 100 grain 6mm bullets. As I recall he uses two seated cores in 22 cal 22lr brass jackets then stuffs those in a longer 6mm 22 mag jacket. End resulting bullet mimics a partition. It was pretty impressive. You would have to search his posts, it's been a few years since the threads was active but it was cool no doubt.

p.s. edit... he didn't stuff them in a 6mm jacket he was able to make the bullet using just the two 22lr jackets. Kewl is the term he used :)
