Whether clip-on WW metal is heat-treated or not; and/or, if it's alloyed with tin (solder) and heat-treated or not, will it fragment when hitting a swinging steel plate at 100 yards or a bit further? How 'bout if I angle the plate a bit less than 90 degree with respect to the ground? Lets say were shooting a .35 Whelen starting out at 2000 to 2500 fps.

With the .30 cal and a swinging target @ 90degree mine shatter with some larger pebble sized but mostly I have granuals under target. I dont have a trap just the ground so larger pieces might be glancing away.
