Well I'm a pretty happy camper. After searching around for a cast load for the 'heavy' boolit for a .223 bolt gun I think I've found it. My NOE (225 - 70) drops my ACCWW (with lube and hornady GC) at 72.6gr (+/- .2gr). I size to .225 with White Label Carnuba Red. I don't have a chrony so have no idea of speed. I've tried several powders but had best results (grouping) with IMR 4227 so focused on different charges for it. Started at 11.5 and worked up through 13.5 in .5gr increments. Seemed to like charges between 12.0 and 13.0 so went to .2gr increments between those weights. The winner was 12.4gr. I'm shooting a CZ 527 with 1in9 twist with a 6x16x44 Vortex scope off a rest. Since nothing happened unless there are photos, here they are:
108975 25 yard zero on the left and then out to 75yards (on the right)

Then on to a better target (for my eyes) at 75 yards. Up to his point I've fired around 20 rounds without cleaning.
108973

Now the 100yd.
108974

I don't have a local range where I can try beyond 100 yards. If I can get to one over a hundred (like to see what this will do consistently at 200) I'll update this post.

Bottom line is, I think I have a load that works without any voo-doo using plain 'ole ACCWW, carnuba red, and no filling for the light powder load. BTW, not a trace of leading and very clean burn on the powder.

Any idea of velocity? What is you COL? Do you have any problems feeding a longer bullet from your magazine in the CZ?

Nice groups, well done!

rollmyown - No idea on velocity - no chrony. COL is 2.22. The rounds fit and feed from the magazine but I was using a bob sled as there was only enough crimp to take the slight bell out of the mouth of the case and was single feeding to make sure I didn't have any set-back.

Nice. 1 pound of powder will go a long way with that load. Bet it was fun to shoot too.
