Chunking away making rounds for my 7-30 Waters fun gun. Decided to change from a Lee 7-30 Waters sizing die to an unused (and NIB!) Hornady ND 7mm Neck Expanding die. I thought that Hornady had made a super advanced sizer, just walking through the cases!
I then unshipped the neck sizer, popped in the 28R for some M-die action.... Nothing but net... What? Took out a sized and GC'd 285448, and with light finger pressure, pushed the boolit into the case... Took other Hornady neck sized cases and was able to push the boolit in as far as I wanted... Way To the Future!!!
Sorted for the few I did with the Lee (if boolit does NOT slide into neck), then unshipped the M die, stuck in the Lee, and fixed the necks. Odd, the first batch of 20 cases had been fired once and mic .300 on outside for tight enough, .305 for not tight enough. Next two batches were fired at least twice. Mix of .300 and .305 were GO, some .305 NO GO. Must be the necks are getting thicker.
M-died the lot. No further problems.
